I grew up in the water everywhere of Florida, and I’ve enjoyed the rawness of Africa, the
historic depths of Italy and the wide-open spaces
of the West. I’m open to going pretty
much anywhere except barren Antarc-
tica. But if I have to choose one favorite
destination at the moment, it would be
the central coast town of Morro Bay,
CA. My childhood summers were spent
there, and my family ties there go back
more than 100 years. The peacefulness,
the golden light coming off the coastal
mountains, the winding roads through
foothills dotted with wineries, the laid back per-
sonality of the area, the limitless outdoorsy oppor-
tunities and the fresh olive oil and local produce
make it a place I still visit for vaca-
tion every year. I’d be delighted to
shoot there for a client, as I think
my love for the place would pour
through the photos.
